How can a Woman not Love the Lord
. He is a gentleman
. He is confident
. He is a provider and protector
. He is rich and powerful
. He owns everything
. There is nothing He would not do for me
. He perfects all things concerning me
. He anticipates my wants and needs
. Every day He tells me and shows me how much He loves me
. I don't have to perform in order to earn His love.
. He keeps all of His promises
. No one can influence His opinion of me
. He is the ultimate intimate partner
. He can't "disown" me because I am a part of Him
. He prepares a table before ME
. He covers me and doen't expose me
. He wrote His loving words down for me.
NOW THAT'S LOVE!!!
Any man, who wants pointers on how to love a woman, should study GOD!!!

Jen here... thinking about broken shells
In the past, the beach was our vacation destination. It was always a joy to see our children running across the sand toward the ocean. I especially enjoyed finding seashells. I would walk along the beach, searching for the most perfect shells to carry home and display in jars - a memento of our family vacation.
My shell collection began to grow as we made our annual trip to the seaside. Since I had plenty of shells, it became a quest to find THE MOST perfect specimens to take home. The biggest or the most flawless... those were the shells that I desired collecting.
Now, it takes less than an hour for us to have our toes in the sand at Gulf Shores. I still thoroughly enjoy picking up treasure from the beach, but I limit myself to a couple of shells in my pocket. I'll be honest with you, perfection is no longer an issue. I like things that are different. My favorite has become broken shells.
Being able to see the beauty INSIDE of a seashell - now that's intriguing! The hidden quality of a seashell, exposed when broken, is lovely to me. They seem to be more rare than perfectly formed seashells. These broken shells are keepers!
The Bible refers to the hidden person of the heart. Outer beauty is fleeting and can be deceiving. God, who can see the beauty inside of us, sometimes reveals that beauty to the world through our brokenness. When we are opened and no longer trying to give the appearance of perfection, we have just as much to offer. God desires to use our brokenness to bless others... He uses all things to His glory. Our tears are not wasted. Our trials are not worthless. We have an opportunity to glorify God, in good times and bad!
Father God... use me. Even when I am broken and left open to the world, let your light shine through me. In Jesus name, amen.

Let Me Give You New Sight
"Come now, let's settle this," says the Lord. "though your sins are like scarlet, I will make them as white as snow. Though they are red like crimson, I will make them as white as wool." Isaiah 1:18
My Bride, let Me settle something in your mind and soul once and for all. I don't see you as you see yourself. You see your sin, and I see a forgiven princess. You see who you were, and I see who you will become as I crown you in My glory. You give yourself guilt, and I give you grace. You hold yourself hostage to your past, and I give you the key to freedom in Me. You are lovely in My eyes, and nothing you could say or do will change this truth. Now let Me open your eyes so you may see all I have died for, that you may have a new view of you!

Your Prince and New Life

Valentines Day, 2011
"Behold, what manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us, that we should be called the children of God" 1 John 3:1a
"Beloved, let us love one another: for love is of God" 1 John 4:7a
Valentines Day just strikes me as a happy day. I like all the red heart displays in the stores. I like memories of valentine candy, especially the little sugar candy hearts with "Be Mine" or "I Love You" written on them. And, oh the chocolate hearts were (and still are) just delicious, even if the center is hollow!!!
Before we married I bought myself a heart shaped cake pan and baked Gene a cake. I think it embarrassed him because I wanted him to take it home with him and he was living with his parents. Anyway, a lot of love went into that cake which was baked fifty six years ago. The cake pan rusted but our marriage has not rusted!!! He still loves and cherishes me the way Christ loves the Church. It is a joy to love a man like him. So much for memories.
Blog friends, since Love Himself lives on the inside of us, I think it would be great if we show love to someone special this Valentines Day and then go a step further and do something special for someone who really does not deserve it, remembering that, within ourselves, there really is nothing for our King to love. Show Grace to someone...do you have a heart shaped cake pan???
"Father, I praise you as Love Himself. Thank you for loving me unconditionally and continuously showing Grace to me. I pray that my friends in blog land will experience your Love for them and that we all will enjoy showing Your Love to others today. In Jesus Name, I pray." Amen

Preach the Word
"Preach the word; be diligent in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all long-suffering and doctrine" 2 Timothy 4:2
In this scripture verse, Paul is instructing Timothy on how to be a leader in The Church in light of the fact that these new christians are being exposed to false teachers and false doctrine. Read verses 1 - 5 for a clear picture of Paul's charge to this young pastor.
Friends, these are the same instructions God has given your pastor and my pastor. If my pastor is to be all God has instructed him to be then he needs my support and my cooperation...and my steadfast prayers on his behalf. My pastor certainly does not need me expecting more of him than God expects of him.
My family is awesomely blessed to have a humble, God loving, Spirit filled, young man as our pastor. We love him dearly and we know he loves us. I trust all of you are as blessed.
"Father, I thank you from the depth of my heart for Pastor Wren who loves, instructs, cares for and encourages me. I thank you for teaching him your Word so he can teach it to me. I ask you to bless each person reading this post with a pastor just like mine. I pray they will, in turn, be blessed and encouraged by their pastor. In Jesus Name, I pray." Amen

My Confession for Today
"This day I will be blessed when I go out and I will be blessed when I come back in this afternoon. The fruit of my womb is being blessed today. This day I choose to walk not after the flesh but after the Spirit knowing that the Spirit of God in Christ Jesus has made me free from the law of sin and death. I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me today. My inner man is being renewed today. This day I choose to rejoice in the Lord. Jesus will richly bless each and every person I come in contact with today.
I boldly declare that I am a daughter of the King of Kings and the Lord of Lords and I will live the life of a Princess today. Now that I have typed myself into the Glory Zone I will go out and be Jesus in my world today."
Oh, blog friends, join me today in declaring who you are in Jesus. Hold your head high, straighten your crown, and walk in His Victory!!!
"Father, I praise you as my Victory today. I pray that my blog friends will confess You in their lives today and they will be blessed abundantly by and in You. In Jesus Name, I pray." Amen

Happy New Year - 2011
"For He shall give His angels charge over thee, to keep thee in all thy ways"
Psalm 91: 11
None of us know what the Year 2011 has in store for us. We just know that wherever we go and whatever we do, God's angels have charge over us. Friends, I find rest and peace in that truth. I can and will rejoice in Him this coming year. In Jesus Christ, my every need is already met and my every care is already on Him.
Blog friends, join me in keeping our focus on Him and join me in experiencing Him in every area of our lives in the Year 2011. HE IS LORD!!!!
