Happy New Year

"It is because of the LORD'S mercies that we are not consumed, because His compassions fail not. They are new every morning; great is thy faithfullness." Lamentations 3:22-23
As we face this New Year...2010...our minds have a way of thinking about New Year's resolutions. As I think about entering a New Year my mind continues to focus on the above scripture. His mercies are new EVERY morning. So, no matter how bad I may have messed up in the year of 2009 , His mercies will be fresh beginning the first day of 2010... a time of a new beginning.
I can face this New Year with fear or Faith. I have chosen as my motto for the New Year - "Don't let your fear outshine your Faith."
"Father, I thank you for your faithfulness. I thank you that your mercies are new every morning. I pray that everyone reading this post today will choose to stay focused on You and not let their fear outshine their Faith. In Jesus merciful name, I pray." Amen

Great post. Don't let your fear outshine you faith, never heard that before. My pastor said the color of this year would be purple. How cool is that.
