Happy 4th of July
It is that time of year again...red, white and blue colors...flags, family, friends and food!!!
As I think about celebrating the 4th of July, my heart rejoices that we have the freedom to choose to celebrate. As part of our celebration I ask you to join me in making this positive confession for our country: "America is the greatest country in the world and God is in control. As Christians, we will continue to humble ourselves and pray and our land will be healed." Doesn't that make you feel all good inside?
Enjoy the 4th of July!!!
"Father, I thank you that you are in control of this great country of ours. I choose to look beyond the negative reports and trust you. Be very near and dear to the men and women serving their country in the military. Bless them with Your Love , Joy and Peace. In Jesus Name, I pray." Amen

Triumph Through Trials
"Consider it pure joy, my brothers, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith develops perseverance. "James 1:2-3
My Princess...
I see you when you are in the garden of grief, My Princess. I hear your cry for help in the dark hours of the night. I Myself cried out in the garden the night I was betrayed. In My suffering I asked My Father for another way...a less painful way. Yet I trusted His will and purpose for My life and knew the ultimate victory was at the cross. Just as olives must be crushed to make oil, I poured My life as a love offering for you. Don't ever doubt that I am with you and that I long to take you to a place of comfort, peace, and victory. Even when you cannot see Me from where you are, I am working on your behalf. Give to Me the crushing weight of your circumstances, and come to Me in prayer. When it is time to leave the garden, I will walk with you across the valley and straight to the cross...where your trials will be transformed into triumph.
Love,
Your Savior and your Victor

Overwhelmed by His Grace
"For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin, that we might be made the rightousness of God in him." II Cor 5:21
Have you ever felt overwhelmed by God's Grace shown to you in Jesus Christ? Well, I have had one of those times this week. As I write this post, my heart is simply overflowing with His Love and Grace.
This past Sunday in Sunday School we were finishing up our study in the book of Exodus. We had studied in depth about how God came to live in the Tabernacle in the Wilderness. In preparing to finalize the study I was teaching about God living with Adam in the Garden of Eden but then He withdrew from Adam because of sin and Adam died spiritually. A precious Princess spoke up and said "but because of what Jesus did that will never happen to us"...I just about had a "glory fit" even though she stole my punch line!!! "Because of what Jesus did"...that is Grace!!! and I am overwhelmed.
Jesus said in John 14:16 "and I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another comforter, that he may abide with you forever". Do we deserve it? No, we do not deserve it ...that's Grace and I am overwhelmed.
"Father, I thank you that I do not have to be concerned about you leaving me or forsaking me "because of what Jesus did". Reveal yourself as Grace and Glory to
someone reading this post today. In Jesus Grace Filled Name, I pray." Amen

A Trusting Heart
"as she (Lydia) listened with intensity to what was being said, the Master gave her a trusting heart-and she believed." Acts 16:14 (The Message)
In preparing to teach a series of studies in Sunday School about "the unstoppable movement of God", I have been trying to read the entire Book of Acts about the formation of The Church, which is the unstoppable movement of God. As I was preparing to read this morning I ask God to speak to me personally...just give me a special message from Him and He did just that!!!!.. "the Master gave her a trusting heart and she believed"... those few words so blessed my hungry heart. I just stopped reading and thanked God for giving me "a trusting heart".
I believe the most precious thing (besides Himself) God ever gave me is "a trusting heart". Friends, we simply cannot create a trusting heart...it must come from God Himself. If we are to have any degree of Victory in our Christian walk we must have "a trusting heart". What God gave to Princess Lydia, He will give to each of us. Do I hear a Praise?
"Father, thank you for revealing yourself to me in such a precious way today. Bless someone reading this post with the desire to receive all you have for them today. In Jesus Trusting Name, I pray."Amen
